Why Did I Write The Article?

This was one of the many albums I had been playing during the early stages of the pandemic. I remember a few songs from the group like "Freek N' You", "All My Life", (which is a KC and Jo Jo song), that I heard for a long time, and How Do U Want It (as features on the 2Pac Track) and I wanted to check out the group officially for the first time. After giving them a listen, I instantly became a fan. I actually had a binge session with the group along with other groups like "AZ Yet and Mint Condition". I think overall Jodeci makes pretty good music. I really like their last album which was produced by Timbaland and I thought at the time they had a chance of a strong comeback. But sadly I think because of years of drug use and newer acts more prominent improving on the sound they popularize, I think it extremely threw them off their game and sadly made them a relic of a passing era. During one of the show they put on to promote the project, just looking at the performance you could tell they were severely off their game and I believe Mr. Devon wasn't at this performance as well. Yeah, there is a difference because one clip was when they were in their prime and the latter was during the comeback period. But again it's sad when the older them aren't as talked about despite being cemented in history for their continuation to the advancement of R&B.
